In dem Dorf Hotton befindet sich der Commonwealth Kriegsfriedhof. Von hier aus starteten einige britische Einheiten die Gegenoffensive im Januar ’45 am Westufer der Ourthe. Daher stammen die meisten Bestattungen auf dem Friedhof aus dieser Zeit. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Auf dem Friedhof befinden sich 666 identifizierte Gr\u00e4ber der folgenden Nationalit\u00e4ten: 526 Briten, 88 Kanadier, 41 Australier, 10 Neuseel\u00e4nder und 1 Pole. Dort befindet sich auch das Grab eines 18-j\u00e4hrigen belgischen Soldaten, der in der Uniform der 53. walisischen Division k\u00e4mpfte. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bis heute sind 21 M\u00e4nner nicht identifiziert worden. Am Eingang des Friedhofs befindet sich eine Gedenktafel mit der Inschrift „Die Befreiung Belgiens und der Niederlande und der Vormarsch nach Deutschland, September 1944 – Mai 1945“. \nIm Dezember 1944 befahl General Montgomery dem 30. britischen Korps, die Niederlande zu verlassen und in Richtung der Ardennen zu ziehen. In Hotton k\u00e4mpften Infanterie- und Panzereinheiten ab den ersten Januartagen und trafen in La-Roche-en-Ardenne auf die amerikanischen Truppen. <\/p>\n\n
