Jahrhunderts zwischen Lacroix sur Meuse und Troyon errichtet. Dieses au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Geb\u00e4ude wurde aus dem Stein von S\u00e9r\u00e9 de Rivi\u00e8res errichtet. Das Fort widerstand erfolgreich dem massiven deutschen Bombardement im September 1914.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den feindlichen Truppen gelang es somit nicht, Verdun einzukesseln. Dar\u00fcber hinaus sch\u00fctzte der Widerstand des Forts die franz\u00f6sischen Soldaten in der Schlacht an der Marne im hinteren Teil der Ostflanke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es ist das einzige Fort an der Linie Verdun-Toul (65 km), das bei einem Angriff nicht in deutsche H\u00e4nde fiel. 450 M\u00e4nner hielten mehr als sechs Tage lang gegen die feindliche Artillerie und eine 10.000 Mann starke Division der 5. Sie sind Zeugen der Gewalt der K\u00e4mpfe. Die Festung, die 80 Jahre lang in Vergessenheit geraten war, hat dank des Engagements zahlreicher Freiwilliger ihr Ansehen wiedererlangt. Sie haben sich daf\u00fcr eingesetzt, die Erinnerung an das Opfer ihrer Vorfahren zu bewahren. <\/p>\n\n<p>Die Festung wurde durch einen Beschluss vom 2. November 1994 unter Denkmalschutz gestellt. Das Fort von Troyon ist unter bestimmten Bedingungen f\u00fcr Besucher
