Im Juli-August 1940 wurde das Gro\u00dfherzogtum unter direkte deutsche Verwaltung gestellt und alle Strukturen des luxemburgischen Staates wurden beseitigt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#13;\nDurch intensive Propaganda versuchten die Besatzer, die Luxemburger zur Unterst\u00fctzung des NS-Regimes zu bewegen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mit Ausnahme einiger Beteiligter hat sich die luxemburgische Bev\u00f6lkerung nie unterworfen. Im Gegenteil, je l\u00e4nger die Besatzung dauerte, desto mehr unterdr\u00fcckten die Nazis die luxemburgische Identit\u00e4t und desto st\u00e4rker wurde der luxemburgische Widerstand.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Im Jahr 1941 bildeten sich ein Dutzend Widerstandsorganisationen, die (einzeln) gegen die Besatzungsmacht k\u00e4mpften. Sie organisierten beispielsweise die Flucht von politisch Verfolgten, unterst\u00fctzten die luxemburgischen Widerstandsk\u00e4mpfer nach der Einf\u00fchrung der Zwangsrekrutierung im Sommer 1942, usw. Sie f\u00fchrten sogar einen erfolgreichen Generalstreik gegen das Regime durch, der das ganze Land mobilisierte. Es wurden jedoch mehr als 200 Personen verhaftet und etwa zwanzig hingerichtet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der aktive Widerstand w\u00e4re jedoch ohne die Unterst\u00fctzung der Bev\u00f6lkerung weit weniger erfolgreich gewesen. Einige sehr mutige Patrioten machten sich auch auf den Weg ins Ausland, um sich den k\u00e4mpfenden Truppen der Alliierten anzuschlie\u00dfen und so zur Befreiung des Landes
