Fort Loncin welcomes its traditional nocturnal event on February 12th from 5 pm to 11 pm. A true symbol of the Battle of Liège, come and discover the fort as you have never seen it before. Illuminated in the dark, you will be immersed in a magical setting, giving a new dimension to the emotions linked to this historic location.
Only occurring every two years, Fort Loncin organizes a special event: a night visit. To start the new year, the fort offers us the opportunity to discover or rediscover this mythical place with a fresh eye. You will not be disappointed with this night visit since the fort has high-quality exterior lighting. Thus, you can admire the gorge ditch, the central massif, and all the architecture of the building from a new perspective. Furthermore, these lights highlight the imposing Necropolis. The night visit also offers a treasure: the steam engine on-site will be exceptionally put into operation for the enjoyment of all! For those with a sweet tooth, the canteen girls will be offering tasty pancakes. It will also be possible to have a drink in the non-commissioned officers’ mess, just like in the old days. This unique visit allows you to live an unforgettable experience!
A unique exhibition to discover the living conditions and the key events that took place in the cross-border territory of Land of Memory (France - Belgium - Germany - Luxembourg) between 1914 and 1945.
