The National Military History Museum is definitely a must for all history and World War II enthusiasts. It was created in 1982 by a group of dedicated enthusiasts. You will find reenactments of the soldiers’ daily life with poignant realism, a rich collection of weapons and military vehicles, and many documents and archive photos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

hrough striking reconstructions, it tells the story of the fighting that took place in the Diekirch region, and the fate of the men during the Battle of the Bulge. You will also discover collections of objects initially intended for the Allied troops during the First and Second World War. <\/p>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

The museum’s goal is to pass on the experiences that are shared by veterans, but who will one day no longer be around to do so. That is why the museum aims to describe objectively and impartially the events that took place during the World Wars. In 3500 square meters, one discovers the American, German but also the civilian point of view. Besides that, the museum shares the history of the Luxembourg army during the two Great Wars, the Korean War, and during humanitarian missions.
