The Battle of the Bulge in Luxembourg told through objects<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

During the winter of 1944-1945, the Third Reich launched a final offensive. The objective was to decimate the Allied forces in the West. Today, this offensive is called “The Battle of the Bulge.”<\/p>\n\n

On December 16, 1944, General von Rundstedt ordered the German troops to attack the American lines spread along the S\u00fbre and Our Rivers. Although the majority of the population was evacuated, the Battle of the Bulge resulted in countless casualties. General S. Patton, of the Third Army, later took over the front and succeeded in recapturing the north of the country at the cost of many lives.<\/p>\n\n

The museum of the Battle of the Bulge remembers this dark period of history. Thanks to numerous objects, it recounts the terrible moments of one of the most critical battles of the Second World War.<\/p>\n\n
