The liberation of a village on the Ardennes front<\/h2>\n\n

On January 10, 1945, the 83rd American Infantry Division liberated the village of Bihain. This museum traces its history through incredibly realistic settings. \n<\/p>\n\n

One of the most famous photos of the Second World War, “The White Death” by Tony Vaccaro, a GI reporter in this division, is shown in a slide show. From 1944 to 1945, he took war photographs that made him famous: from the Normandy landings to the Battle of the Bulge, the conquest of Germany, and the fall of Berlin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The museum also features an authentic railway car that bears witness to the grim history of the deportation of Jewish prisoners, as well as a bunker- elements that make the visit exciting and moving.<\/p>\n\n
