\u201cDame Blanche\u201d was een uiterst geheim inlichtingennetwerk<\/h2>\n\n

\u201cWalth\u00e8re Dew\u00e9 was de directeur van de Telefonie in Luik en stond aan het hoofd van de geheime inlichtingendienst \u201cLa Dame Blanche\u201d tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog. Hij stierf in 1944, tijdens de Tweede wereldoorlog, toen hij deelnam aan een reddingsoperatie van \u00e9\u00e9n van de leden van zijn verzetsnetwerk dat toen herdoopt werd tot \u201cClarence\u201d.<\/p>\n\n

Een groot beeldhouwwerk van de Dame Blanche, met de vinger op de mond om het geheim te symboliseren van het geheime inlichtingennetwerk, evenals een herdenkingskapel, brengen hulde aan deze figuur van de Belgische weerstand. \n<\/p>\n\n

Ernaast, leidt een pad naar de rue des Tawes, waar zich een staande steen bevindt met een medaillon met de beeltenis van de held maar ook hulde brengt aan het netwerk van het verzet. \n<\/p>\n\n

Het is mogelijk het monument te bezoeken dankzij de geleide rondleidingen die voorgesteld worden door het Toerismebureau van Luik. Maar ook te bezoeken dankzij een wandeling van 11 km die voorgesteld wordt door de Sentiers de Grande Randonn\u00e9e naar aanleiding van de uitgave van de nieuwe topo-gids GR412 \u2013 Sentiers des terrils. Het gaat over de Boucle des Coteaux, tijdens dewelke je de Luikse natuur kan ontdekken. \n<\/p>\n\n
