Dit museum is gewijd aan de nagedachtenis van de Amerikaanse generaal George S. Patton, de commandant van de divisie die de stad Ettelbruck in 1944 bevrijdde van de Duitse bezetter. Het werd in 1995 geopend in Ettelbruck en bevat een rijke collectie foto’s en documenten die de geschiedenis van de Duitse invasie in de regio vertellen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Ettelbruck staat ook bekend als “Patton Town”. Van 1954 tot 2004 vierde de stad de bekende \u201cRemembrance Day\u201d, een dag gewijd aan de herinnering aan de bevrijding van de stad en aan generaal Patton. In het museum staat een drie meter hoog standbeeld van de generaal en men toont er ook enkele van zijn persoonlijke voorwerpen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Een deel van de expo is ook gewijd aan de Slag om de Ardennen. Je vindt er onder meer een indrukwekkende collectie wapens en uitrusting. Het laatste deel van het museum vertelt het verhaal van de luchtoorlog in Luxemburg.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
