Deze soldaten zijn beroemd geworden dankzij de serie en het boek Band of Brothers (Wapenbroeders). De serie, gerealiseerd door Steven Spielberg, inspireert zich zeer sterk op het gelijknamige werk van de geschiedkundige Stephen Ambrose. Alle beschreven feiten zijn gebaseerd op waargebeurde feiten en ook wat betreft de personages! De uitdrukking \u201cBand of Brothers\u201d verwijst naar de geest van kameraadschap en broederschap onder de Amerikaanse soldaten van de Easy Company. Zij zijn inderdaad samengebleven van het begin van de opleiding in 1942 tot het einde van de oorlog.
