“Bluttsëffer – All Fra dréit hire Päckelchen” is a historical novel by Luxembourg writer Jemp Schuster, published in 2020.

This is the first volume of a family saga. We follow two characters whose story unfolds over five generations in one and the same village, between 1905 and 2005.

The main themes of this first Bluttsëffer book are women in Luxembourg society. Between 1905 and 1951, the patriarchal and conservative society prevented them from doing many things, including participating in the society of men. We can read about their role in the two world wars.
