In the summer of 1943, during the Nazi occupation of Luxembourg, the young resistance fighter Emil Schwirtz kills two German gendarmes. During this shooting, his friend Félix Lux is shot by the Nazis. Emil managed to hide. More than 500 German policemen and soldiers combed the villages of Eschdorf and Heiderscheid to find Emil and his fellow rebels. 20 hostages were designated to be executed if the culprits were not caught.

The film mixes interviews and fictional scenes. It is full of suspense and emotion, enough to give you chills.
