“For Freedom” is a documentary directed by Philippe Schneider, released in 1948.

The film opens with images of Luxembourg before the war. A peaceful place where happiness reigns under the protection of the dynasty. Then, we discover the images of the invasion of the country by the Germans , in May 1940. All the events that took place between 1940 and 45/46 are documented.

The film contains archive footage as well as reconstructed scenes.
