Jean-Louis Schuller

In Luxembourgish, “Heemwéi – eng Odysee” means “Homesickness – an odyssey”.

In France, in September 1944, the end of the Second World War seemed imminent as Allied troops closed in on Berlin.

The two Luxembourgers Jos and Frenz decide to lay down their arms and desert the German army. A series of skilfully told adventures follows in the footsteps of these young people who want only one thing: to return home.
