Band of Brothers

Band of Brothers
"We are not lost Corporal, we are in Normandy." Band of Brothers, HBO.

The Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial is the resting place of five soldiers from the Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborn Division. Thanks to the series and the book Band of Brothers (Brothers in Arms), these soldiers became famous. The series, directed by Steven Spielberg, is closely based on the book of the same name by historian Stephen Ambrose. All the facts described are taken from actual events, as well as the characters! The expression “Band of Brothers” reveals the spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood of the American soldiers of Easy Company. They stayed together from the beginning of training in 1942 until the end of the war. All of the surviving members of the company were reunited again for the production of the series in 2000.
