Bastogne Barracks

Bastogne Barracks.
At the Barracks, you will find one of the largest European collections of vehicles from the Battle of the Bulge. It is also where recognized know-how in the restoration of this ancient heritage has been forged. The McAuliffe HQ is also located here (currently being renovated). General Anthony McAuliffe was made famous by his comical answer of, "Nuts!", in response to a German ultimatum, which testifies to the American resistance during the siege of Bastogne.

A symbolic site of the Second World War

Within the walls of former military barracks, you will be welcomed by guides specializing in the history of the Second World War and the restoration of period vehicles. Built in 1936 for the Chasseurs Ardennais, the barracks were used as a training center for the Hitler Youth and then as the American HQ for General McAuliffe commanding the famous 101st Airborne.

This is a must-see for enthusiasts who want a visit rich in information and exclusive anecdotes.
