World Center for Peace, Freedom, and Human Rights

Le Centre Mondial de la Paix, Des Libertés et des Droits de l
The World Peace Center is located in the magnificent Episcopal Palace of Verdun. It's a site for numerous events on the theme of peace, freedom, and human rights. Symposiums, conferences, exhibitions- everything is designed to encourage young and old to question past and present geopolitical dynamics.

After the War, the Republic

Whether you are a fan of geopolitics or interested in learning more about current convergences and divergences, the World Peace Center is a place for the curious.

A visit to the World Peace Center is an excellent complement to the other memorial sites in Verdun. Indeed, the exhibition “Drôle de Paix” (Funny Peace) gives us a better understanding of the post-war period and its geopolitical consequences, which are still present today.

The center also offers a multitude of events throughout the year. Numerous temporary exhibitions are presented, and many conferences are held with various fascinating themes.

A particular highlight of the center is a free visit to the 18th-century gardens, where a section of the Berlin Wall can be seen.

We invite you to find out more about the events taking place at the World Peace Center. Take this exciting opportunity to discover, or rediscover, the site and all it has to offer.
